What should I wear during a cryotherapy session?Because of the very low temperatures, no metal jewelry or piercing below the neck are allowed on you while in the cryo. If you cannot remove certain jewelry or piercings they can be covered with athletic tape that will be provided. Clients are required to wear cotton or wool foot and hand protection (provided) and either underwear or a bathing suit to protect intimate body parts. All other clothing is removed and we provide robes to everyone.

How long does a cryotherapy session last?A cryotherapy session lasts for just 3 minutes. If it's your first time, you'll be in and out within 15 minutes. For subsequent sessions, we aim to have you done in 8 minutes or less.
-
How often should I do cryotherapy? The frequency of cryotherapy sessions can vary depending on your specific goals or needs. If you're using it for post-surgery recovery, it's recommended to do it 3 times per week for three to six weeks. For general wellness, 3-5 treatment sessions per week for the first month are suggested, and then adjust based on your goals. If you're using it for chronic pain and inflammation, between 3 to 5 sessions per week is advisable until it's under control, then 1 to 2 times per week. Some athletes use it twice a day, others daily for 10 days, then once a month afterwards. For weight loss or sports and fitness recovery, 2-3 sessions per week are recommended. After an initial loading period, maintenance treatments should be once or twice per week.

Is cryotherapy safe and effective?Cryotherapy, when performed by a skilled professional, is generally considered safe and can be effective for certain uses. However, it's important to note that whole-body cryotherapy is not a medical treatment. Cryotherapy can help with muscle pain, as well as some joint and muscle disorders, such as arthritis. It can reduce pain, boost muscle recovery, and even aid in weight loss. In one study, it was found to reduce the perception of muscular tiredness and pain after exercise.
